As you embark on morning and evening jeep safaris through Tadoba’s dense teak and bamboo forests, expansive meadows and serene lakes, you stand a good chance of spotting the majestic predators in their natural habitat. Tadoba’s Tigers are known for their high visibility, making it a prime destination for Tiger enthusiasts. Sightings of the elusive Leopards, often spotted lounging on tree branches or stealthily prowling in the underbrush, add to the excitement.

The park’s water bodies, such as Tadoba Lake and Andhari River, attract a variety of wildlife, including the Indian Gaur, which is the largest bovine species in India. Herds of Chital and Sambar deer are commonly seen grazing in open fields, while the shy Barking deer can be spotted darting through the forest.

Tadoba’s rich ecosystem also supports Sloth Bears, Wild Boars, and packs of Indian Wild Dogs (Dholes) known for their co-operative hunting strategies. The smaller mammal species, such as Jungle Cats, Civets and Mongooses add to the reserve’s biodiversity.

HAPPY HATHI TIP

The park has the highest demand and safaris get booked months in advance. There are multiple ways to explore the park, and it can be done over multiple visits.

Do not miss the lip – smacking street food of Nagpur: it’s clean, fresh and unique in flavors. Our favorites: Misal Pav, Batata vada, Tarri Pohe ,and the delicious sweet ‘Santra Barfi’ derived from Nagpur’s famous orange harvest.

Trip Extensions: Kanha, Panna, Khajuraho, Bhedaghat
